The Cure Alone Tribute is the show of a guitarist-singer paying homage for 2
hours to the first 10 years of the group of Robert Smith, from 3 Imaginarys Boys
to Desintegration. With his guitars and his smart-drumbox, Julien Honnorat
(Academic during the creation period, working on tactile and sound trial and error
as a method of emergence of form) is interested in the harmonic structuring
process of this mythical group. The editing of the show was done less by video
medium than by reminiscence in contact with the British population. Has the
behavioral softening of the punk gesture brought out a critical musicality
internal to the established order to prefigure the current sequential democracy?
This is the tool question posed by this musical performance in the face of the
absurdity of contemporary violence.
